Training Certificate Module (PDCertificate): User Guide
Global adjustments
Propagation of groups
The propagation of the groups takes place in the event of course chaining via the certificate: a certificate issued can cause the propagation of registration in related courses. If this option is globally enabled, then the registration propagation will automatically result in a reconstruction of the user's groups of belonging transferred, even if the original groups do not exist in the arrival course.4
Max. number of documents not cron
This setting only applies to certificates that have activated the automatic generation of eligible certificates. In this case, this adjustment makes it possible to limit the number of documents that a single pass of the programmed task can generate at a time. Since PDF generation is quite expensive in terms of computational time, it is useful not to block scheduled tasks for too long a time. By reducing the number of generations, other treatments may be inserted between several passes of this task.
Note: the certificates are generated automatically, as soon as the conditions for obtaining are acquired.
The cron sends the certificates by mail
During the automatic generation of certificates, it is possible to request a systematic sending by email to the holder.
Encryption level (Pro)
If the generated PDF document is protected, then it is possible to set the encryption level. Some recipients may not have a viewer suitable for too high an encryption level.
Default Certification Authority
The certificates record a reference to one of the users of Moodle as the issuing authority. The attestation templates provide the fields for displaying this certifying authority on the documents generated. This setting allows to designate a user “Default Authority” who will be assigned automatically to any new instance of attestation.
Custom profile fields for the report
Default source of the name for activity in the reports
The name of the column that identifies the instance in the reports.
- Module type (indexed): The generic name of the module, indexed by its internal id Moodle.
- Name: the name of the activity instance (be careful, it may be non-single)
- Identification number: The course module identification number.
Standard parameters of a plugin with "Pro" features
These additional fields allow the registration of the TMA license allowing the unlocking of the “PRO” functionalities of the module. This license key can be requested directly from the plugin editor (ActiveProLearn) or from an authorized distributor.
Emulating the Community version
This setting temporarily allows to regress the features in “community” mode, even for a plugin referenced with a valid key.
Pro version supplier
The unique code of distributor holding the key. The key will be checked by the distributor's services.
Pro licence key
