User Guide

This plugin makes it possible to make activities accessible only after a certain working time has been measured in one particular section of the course. The measurement of this working time is obtained from the block Use Stats which must be installed beforehand in Moodle.

The usual process for using this plugin is :

• Open the course and set it into editing mode
• On an activity, or a section, go to the local settings and open the availability section.
• Choose a “Section Time” availability item
• Choose the focussed section
• Adjust the threshold time (given in minutes)

As a result any student having NOT passed enough time in the designated course section WILL NOT access to that activity or page.

• This plugin cannot evaluate the time passed in sections of another course to trigger the availability condition.
• This plugin is compatible with “page format” (availability for pages resuses the availability on sections)
• WARNING : You may NOT apply an availabiity on a section, focussing to itself. This would lock the possibility to spend time on the triggering section. This would be also the case by applying a Section Time restriction on the unique activity of the section, that would also lead to a deadend lock.
